About Rau:

We are an owner-managed, innovative and internationally active family business based in Meitingen.
For over 100 years, we have been developing and producing specialized tools for the tinsmith/sheet metal trade as well as electronic devices for leak testing pipes. Our customers range from small tradesmen to large industrial companies and energy suppliers – nationally and worldwide.

Our aim is to develop practical solutions that make our customers’ day-to-day work easier, more efficient and more sustainable. In doing so, we always think technology in terms of application and continuously develop our products further.

Your tasks:

• Supporting the management in day-to-day operations and strategic issues
• Sparring partner for technical and business decisions
• Responsibility for technical projects – from the initial idea to successful implementation
• Coordination of product development including supervision of prototype construction
• Creation of CAD drawings and active collaboration on new product solutions
• Technical purchasing and coordination with suppliers and partners
• Collaboration in the technical sales office and occasional field service assignments
• Presentation and explanation of our products – by telephone, online or at trade fairs
• Technical support and competent contact for customers and partners
• Support at trade fairs and occasional accompaniment on business trips, training courses or presentations
• Take on your own projects and management responsibility in the future
• Active involvement in shaping our products, processes and further company development

What you bring with you:

• Completed technical training (e.g. in a trade or as an industrial mechanic) – ideally with further training as a technician
• Enjoy not only understanding technology, but also putting it into practice and developing it further
• Structured, reliable way of working and a desire to take on responsibility
• Good experience with CAD, MS Office and ideally ERP systems
• Curiosity about new topics and a willingness to develop professionally and personally
• Good written and spoken English
