Leakage measurement (gas serviceability test) with the DPG02 TOUCH

The serviceability test, including the determination of the gas leakage rate, is a specified measurement in the TRGI for existing gas pipes in the low pressure range up to 100 mbar. The leak quantity measurement is explained here step by step using the DPG02 TOUCH.

Video on leakage measurement with the DPG02

In this video, Mr. Rau shows you the individual steps of leakage measurement with the RAU DPG02 TOUCH pressure tester.

Step by step

How the measurement is carried out

  1. Enter object / customer and inspector
  2. Close the gas tap and remove the meter
  3. Fitting the single-pipe meter cap
  4. Connect Y-hose and test hose and connect to DPG02
  5. Check the tightness of the stopcock on the display: 0.0 hPa
  6. Open the stopcock and check the operating pressure of the system on the display
  7. On the display: “Leakage rate determination” and select the operating pressure of the system under “Select measuring pressure” (24 hPa | 50 hPa | 70 hPa | 100 hPa)
  8. Automatic measuring sequence starts (10 minutes). After 5 minutes, you will receive the first reference value for the leakage volume.
  9. Print test report by tapping on the printer symbol

Leakage measurement without gas meter screw connection:

  • Test connection to gas connection plate with test adapter PVP
  • Check test nipple on gas boiler with silicone hose backwards

Important: Check the line in operation with operating pressure!
